Chattanooga, Tenn. (November 9, 2020) — Covenant Logistics Group, Inc (NASDAQ/GS: CVLG) (“Covenant”), has recently elevated a group of proven leaders within the enterprise, each taking on new roles and responsibilities, thanks to promotions announced earlier this year.

Effective the beginning of September 2020, Jim Massengill, Vice President of Distribution at Landair Holdings; Lyndal Harper, former Vice President of Transportation Management at Landair Holdings; and Brande Tweed, former VP of Finance at Landair Holdings; along with Tripp Grant, former Corporate Controller at Covenant, have each been promoted to new enterprise-wide leadership roles.

John Tweed, Co-President and Chief Operating Officer at Covenant Logistics Group, says, “Covenant has an unbelievable team of talented leaders. Jim Massengill is a Covenant veteran and has been an integral part of building the foundation of our organization. Jim, formerly Vice President of Distribution, has been named Senior Vice President of Warehouse Operations. During Massengill’s career with the organization, spanning more than 14 years, the development and expansion of our warehousing operations has been remarkable. His vast knowledge of warehousing and ability to oversee multiple locations, employees, and customers has proven to be extremely effective. We are confident that same knowledge and ability will allow him to lead our organization to even greater accomplishments in the future.

Covenant has been blessed with a broad stable of young talented leaders. One of them is Lyndal Harper, formerly Vice President of Transportation Management, has been named Senior Vice President of TMS & Brokerage. Under Harper’s guidance and leadership, tremendous growth in the area of Freight Management been realized. By utilizing his understanding of the business along with integrating technology and employee engagement he is positioning the organization to see extraordinary growth and exciting new opportunities.

Brande Tweed, previously Vice President of Finance, has been named Senior Vice President of Financial Improvement. For over 20 years at Landair, she has shown a robust understanding of both the financial and operational sides of our business and industry. This unique skillset allows her a unique perspective, and places her a position leading our strategic initiatives directed at improving our company’s financial position. No matter the scale of the project, Brande exemplifies an unmatched level of determination to get results, and gets them in the right way.

Tripp Grant, another of our young, talented leaders, joining Covenant in July 2019 as Company Controller, has been named Chief Accounting Officer. His work ethic and assimilation of knowledge around logistics has been unparalleled. Tripp’s decade plus of experience in finance in the consumer products industry, has developed an acute sense of attention to the details and a valuable team player when working and interacting with company leaders, his peers, and any other employee in our organization.
