Covenant’s drivers rank among the top in the nation. Through our orientation programs and ongoing safety initiatives, our drivers are trained to provide a safe atmosphere on the road for themselves and those traveling around them.
We take pride in recognizing our drivers for their great work and their devotion to maintaining the highest quality standards in the industry.
Million Milers - 40 CLUB & 80 CLUB
For any driver, achieving million mile status is an accomplishment. At Covenant, we celebrate this feat with our 40 CLUB program. Through the program, drivers are recognized for their excellence and dedication to safety while completing something truly remarkable: driving the equivalent of 40 trips around the Earth with no accidents (which is where the name comes from). Many Covenant drivers have also achieved two million mile status and are a member of our 80 CLUB team.
Champions of Safety
Each driver completing 12 months of accident-free driving is inducted into Covenant’s Champions of Safety, a progressive performance club which increases rewards as a driver increases their achievements on the road. Rewards range from safety jackets to watches.
Covenant is enjoying its best participation ever in state driving championships. The company began competing at the state level in 2004 with 11 participants in two states: Tennessee and California.
In 2006, Julio Santiago became Covenant's first competitor on the national level. In 2007, a Covenant driver became the first woman to compete in California's state championship.
This year, 61 drivers competed in six states, from California to Florida. In Central California, Alfonso Calderon took first place in the Tanker Class, and Nick Barboza took third place in the Sleeper Class.
